About FME Diesel AVR POwer Generators

Build for the Job

Some jobs don't require finesse. They require power. Sustained, dependable, uncompromising power – delivered hour after hour, day after day, in conditions that would challenge lesser equipment.
This is where AVR technology proves its worth.
While inverter generators excel at delivering pristine electricity for sensitive electronics, AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) generators are built for a different purpose. They're the workhorses of the power generation world – robust, straightforward, and engineered to handle heavy loads without hesitation.
The FME SP7000D embodies this philosophy. It's not trying to be everything to everyone. It's built to do one thing exceptionally well: deliver reliable power when and where you need it most.

AVR Technology: Proven Performance

Automatic Voltage Regulation has been a cornerstone of generator technology for decades. The principle is simple: the AVR module continuously monitors output voltage and adjusts the generator's excitation to maintain stable levels, even as loads fluctuate.
The result is consistent, dependable power that keeps your equipment running smoothly. For power tools, pumps, lighting systems, and other robust electrical loads, AVR regulation provides exactly what's needed – without the added complexity and cost of full inverter systems.
This doesn't mean AVR generators are primitive. Modern AVR units like the FME SP7000D incorporate sophisticated engineering to deliver performance that rivals far more expensive alternatives. The difference lies in the application: where inverter generators are essential for computers and sensitive electronics, AVR generators excel in environments where raw, reliable power takes priority.

Same Power. Full Flexibility

The FME SP7000D carries the "SP" designation – Same Power. This feature, pioneered by FME in our inverter lineup, is equally valuable in an AVR generator.
Traditional generators that offer both 230V and 400V outputs typically force users to choose. Draw significant power from one outlet, and the other becomes limited. For professionals working with mixed equipment – single-phase tools alongside three-phase machinery – this creates constant compromises and careful load management.
The SP7000D eliminates this problem. With completely independent circuits for 230V and 400V, this generator delivers its full 6.5 kW output on either connection. Run a three-phase compressor from the 400V outlet while powering single-phase tools from the 230V side – without calculations, without compromises, without worry.
This flexibility makes the SP7000D exceptionally versatile. One generator handles workloads that would otherwise require multiple units or constant reconfiguration.

Diesel Endurance

The choice of diesel as a fuel source is deliberate. For extended operations, diesel offers advantages that gasoline simply cannot match.
The SP7000D's efficient single-cylinder engine, combined with its generous fuel capacity, delivers up to 21 hours of continuous operation at 50% load. That's nearly a full day of power from a single tank – enough to cover an entire shift on a construction site, a complete outdoor event, or an extended power outage.
Diesel fuel is widely available and typically more economical than gasoline. For stationary applications, the SP7000D can also run on heating oil – a significant advantage when fuel costs are a consideration or when operating in areas where heating oil is more readily accessible than diesel.
The 498cc four-stroke engine is built for longevity. Designed to operate at sustained loads over extended periods, it delivers the kind of dependable performance that professionals rely on.

Professional features. Practical design

The FME SP7000D is equipped with features that matter in real-world applications.
Electric start with key ignition means no pulling, no priming – just turn and go. When immediate response is critical, this convenience becomes essential. The included radio remote control extends this capability further, allowing operators to start and stop the generator from a distance – particularly useful when the unit is positioned in a less accessible location.
The robust enclosure serves multiple purposes. It protects internal components from dust, debris, and the inevitable impacts of job site life. Equally important, it provides sound attenuation that keeps noise levels manageable at 63 dB(A) measured at 7 meters – quiet enough for use in noise-sensitive environments without sacrificing output.
Two CEE 32A outlets – one 230V (3-pole) and one 400V (5-pole) – provide standardized, professional-grade connections. These industrial sockets handle high currents safely and reliably, exactly what's needed for demanding equipment.

Technical specifications

The SP7000D delivers 6.0 kW continuous power and 6.5 kW peak output – identical figures for both 230V and 400V connections, thanks to Same Power technology. The 498cc diesel engine provides ample torque for demanding startup loads, while the AVR system maintains stable voltage throughout operation.
At 930 x 580 x 730 mm, the generator is compact enough for transport yet substantial enough to house the robust components required for long-term reliability. The fuel capacity supports extended runtimes, and the electric start system ensures dependable ignition in all conditions.

Where the FME SP7000D excels

The FME SP7000D is purpose-built for demanding environments.
On construction sites, it powers tools, lighting, and equipment throughout the workday – and into the night if needed. Its Same Power capability means mixed single-phase and three-phase loads are handled without difficulty.
For outdoor events, it provides the sustained power required for sound systems, lighting rigs, and support equipment. The sound-attenuated enclosure keeps noise levels acceptable even in public settings.
As an emergency backup, the SP7000D offers the extended runtime and fuel flexibility that crisis situations demand. When the power goes out and stays out, diesel endurance becomes a critical advantage.

the right tool for the job

Not every application requires inverter-grade power quality. Many don't. What they require is reliability, endurance, and straightforward performance – qualities that define AVR technology at its best.
The FME SP7000D delivers exactly this. It's a generator built for professionals who understand that the best tool is the one matched precisely to the task at hand.
Robust construction. Diesel efficiency. Same Power flexibility. Extended runtime.
Built for the job.
